What are S.P.A.R.K. & S.T.E.A.M. Kits?

These interactive, take-home kits are a great way to foster creativity and cognitive development through a wide variety of unique activities.

Each kit focuses on a theme and contains:

  • an explorative, hands-on item
  • non-fiction books
  • Many kits also contain a discovery sheet for recording what you learned, observed, and designed

.
S.P.A.R.K. Kits encourage: Skills, Playing, Achievement, Reading, and Knowledge
S.T.E.A.M. Kits teach: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math

Kits can be checked out for up to 3 weeks! Kits can be placed on hold and can be picked up at either of the desks. Please keep in mind, kits must be returned to a desk inside the library. You can check out one S.T.E.A.M. kit and one S.P.A.R.K. kit per family.
